European\u00a0Blue Card STAY PERMIT &#8211; HIGHLY QUALIFIED worker\u00a0Stay permit.<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<p>A person can set up a new company in Italy and apply for a job in this company if he\/she meets the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least three-year University degree (that must be legalized in the country of origin in Italian Consulate);<\/li>\n<li>Work contract or binding job offer from Italy for at least 1 year;<\/li>\n<li>Annual Goss Salary at least 3 times the amount to be eligible for health benefit (approximately 30.000,00 \u20ac).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><em><strong>2.\u00a0Infra-company transfer residence permit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<p>You can obtain this type of residence permit by setting up a new company in Italy that is owned by your local company (in your country of origin) or an Italian branch or representative office of your local company. You will be &#8220;transfered&#8221; from your local company to the new Italian company and in this way get a residence permit.<\/p>\n<h5><em><strong>3.\u00a0FAST TRACK Italian START UP VISA<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<p>Italian Start-up VISA (ISV) is a Self-Employment VISA with fast-track procedure, which has been operational since June 2014, started with the measure 44 of \u201cDestinazione Italia\u201d Plan &#8211; a national strategy to attract foreign talents and investments in Italy.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Definition of Innovative Startup<\/strong><\/em>: any companies with shared capital (i.e. limited companies, \u201csociet\u00e0 di capitali\u201d), including cooperatives, whose capital shares \u2013 or equivalent \u2013 are neither listed on a regulated market nor on a multilateral negotiation system.<\/p>\n<p>To get a START UP VISA your company must have the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be newly incorporated or have been operational for less than 5 years (in any case, not before 18 December 2012);<\/li>\n<li>Have their headquarters in Italy or in another EU country, but with at least a production site branch in Italy;<\/li>\n<li>Have a yearly turnover lower than \u20ac5 million;<\/li>\n<li>Do not distribute profits;<\/li>\n<li>Have as exclusive or prevalent company object \u2013 as stated in the deeds of incorporation \u2013 the production, development and commercialisation of innovative goods or services of high technological value;<\/li>\n<li>Are not the result of a merger, split-up or selling-off of a company or branch;<\/li>\n<li>The innovative character of the enterprises is identified by at least one of the following criteria:\n<ol>\n<li>At least 15% of the company\u2019s expenses can be attributed to R&amp;D activities;<\/li>\n<li>At least 1\/3 of the total workforce are PhD students, the holders of a PhD or researchers; or, alternatively, 2\/3 of the total workforce must hold a Master\u2019s degree;<\/li>\n<li>The enterprise is the holder, depositary or licensee of a registered patent (industrial property), or the owner and author of a registered software.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You also shall demonstrate that you can invest at least 50.000 euro in the company&#8217;s Start up.<\/p>\n<h5><em><strong>4. You also can apply\u00a0for a work and stay permit\u00a0in Italy when your Italian company (ex. LLC) has at least\u00a03 year&#8217;s story, by bringing all the regular\u00a0 tax declarations to the police office.<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<h5><em><strong>5. Work permit within\u00a0the government annual quotas mechanism<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<h5><em><strong>6.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>Investment\u00a0of <\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>500.000 euro or more in an existing Italian company<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>250.000 euro or more in an existing Italian Innovative START UP company<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>____________<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<h2 id=\"2f95\" class=\"pw-post-title io ip ig bm iq ir is it iu iv iw ix iy iz ja jb jc jd je jf jg jh ji jj jk jl gh\"><em>Italy\u2019s residency by investment (RBI) visa<\/em><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<h4 id=\"02c3\" class=\"pw-subtitle-paragraph jm ip ig bm b jn jo jp jq jr js jt ju jv jw jx jy jz ka kb kc kd cn\">Why foreign investors are increasingly interested in Italy\u2019s Golden Visa?<\/h4>\n<p id=\"6c80\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Italy does not offer citizenship by investment but it has an attractive residency by investment program.<\/p>\n<p id=\"4437\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">No risk:<\/strong> the applicant is not required to make any payments in advance. Once the investment proposal is accepted by the Ministry, the actual investment muts be executed only after obtaining the visa, within 3 months from arrival in Italy.<\/p>\n<p id=\"c6a9\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">What is the required investment?<\/strong> Residency rights can be obtained by investing \u20ac 250 K, \u20ac 500 K, \u20ac 1 Million or \u20ac 2 Million in purchasing shares of a Spa or Srl company (the most popular investment is the purchase of \u20ac 500 K of shares of publicly listed companies), purchasing Gov.t bonds or make a philantropic donation.<\/p>\n<p id=\"4655\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">Which rights the Investor can obtain?<\/strong> The Investor will obtain a residency permit that allows to live and work in Italy. Residency rights are extended to the the family (spouse and minor children). If the Investor registers as resident with the City Hall (this will however bring tax obligations) it shall have <strong class=\"kw iq\">(i)<\/strong> the right to register with the Health National System <strong class=\"kw iq\">(ii)<\/strong> after 5 years apply for permanent residency (a language test is required) and <strong class=\"kw iq\">(iii)<\/strong> after 10 years for citizenship.<\/p>\n<p id=\"72b6\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">Which are the possible benefits of this program?<\/strong> <strong class=\"kw iq\">(i)<\/strong> The investor visa does not require, for its renewal, that the holder spends a minimum amount of time in Italy. Indeed, holding an investor visa does not imply by itself the acquisition of Italian tax residence. If Investor spends in the country less than 183 days\/year and does not have other strong ties with Italy, there will be no tax obligations; <strong class=\"kw iq\">(ii)<\/strong> Investor Visa allows also to work and can be converted into a work permit, if the individual meets all requirements for conversion; <strong class=\"kw iq\">(iii)<\/strong>the application for the Italy Investor Visa Clearance (\u201cNulla Osta\u201d) can be filed also using a company controlled by the applicant; <strong class=\"kw iq\">(iv)<\/strong> Investor permit holders are exempted from the language test requirements, unless they want to apply for permanent residency after 5 years.<\/p>\n<p id=\"459f\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">Tax incentives and residency rights:<\/strong> Italy offers favorable tax schemes to new residents and pensioners moving in certain areas of the country. Some people think that applying for a tax incentive scheme will automatically grant a resident visa, but this is not correct. Only EU citizens are free to take residency in Italy without need for a visa. Non EU citizens \u2014 even when they obtain a clearance by the Tax Agency to benefit of a special tax scheme \u2014 will still need to obtain a long term Visa to live in the country.<\/p>\n<p id=\"94af\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph ku kv ig kw b kx ky jq kz la lb jt lc ld le lf lg lh li lj lk ll lm ln lo lp hz gh\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong class=\"kw iq\">How long the procedure can take?<\/strong> If the application and supporting documents are complete, the Ministry will answer within 30 days. The applicant will then be given priority for the visa application at the Italian Consulate and visas are usually granted in 7\u201310 days. Upon arrival in Italy, the investor has the right to book an appointment at the Police, without need (as for all other visas) to file first an application at the Post Office.<\/p>\n<p data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><strong><em>Source: Avv.
